Code of Conduct

Sanketana School of Code
Last updated: 23 September 2026

This page is for parents and for students. It sets out how we expect everyone in a Sanketana class to behave, and what happens if someone doesn’t. Please read it together.

1 · Why this matters

Every class is a safe space for the student and the teacher in it. A child should be able to ask a question without being laughed at, and a teacher should be able to teach without being insulted. Nearly every family never needs this page. It exists so that the few rules we hold firmly are written down before anyone needs them.

2 · What we expect in class

3 · Conduct that ends enrolment

Some things are serious enough that there is no warning first. If any of these happens, enrolment ends with immediate effect once we have reviewed what happened:

These apply whether it happens in class, in the class chat, or in messages to a teacher outside class.

4 · Conduct that gets a warning first

Most problems are smaller than that, and we deal with them by talking first. These get a warning, shared with parents:

A warning is a conversation, not a punishment. If the same thing happens again after a warning, enrolment may end.

5 · How we handle an incident

Parents are always told. We never end a child’s enrolment, or issue a warning, without speaking to the parent.

If enrolment ends, every unused class you have paid for is refunded at the per-class rate you paid. You do not lose money for classes that were never taught.

6 · Keeping children safe

If we see or hear anything that suggests a child may be at risk — in class, on screen, or in something they tell their teacher — we will speak to the child’s parents. Where the law requires it, we will also inform the relevant authorities.

Teachers are asked to report any such concern to the founder straight away, and not to handle it alone.

7 · Questions

If something in a class has worried you or your child, write to the founder at contact@sanketana.com or message us on WhatsApp at +91 96323 21212. You can also read our Terms and Conditions, which set out these rules formally, and our Privacy Policy, which covers class recordings.
