Terms and Conditions
These terms apply when you enrol a child with Sanketana School of Code, use this website, or pay us for classes. By enrolling, you agree to them.
1 · About Sanketana
Sanketana School of Code is an online school teaching computer science to children, founded in 2020 and based in Bangalore, India. We teach students aged roughly 8 to 18, and a small number of adult learners, across India, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Australia and elsewhere.
Classes are live and taught by a person — never pre-recorded, never automated. Courses span Scratch, Python, JavaScript, web development, data analytics, generative AI, Java, C++ and systems fundamentals.
2 · Enrolment
Enrolment begins with a conversation, not a checkout. A discovery call, a free introductory session with your child, and a teacher match precede any payment.
A student is enrolled by a parent or legal guardian. That adult is responsible for the account, the payments, and for consenting on the child’s behalf.
We may decline or discontinue enrolment where we do not believe we can teach a child well, or where our teachers are at capacity. If we do so after payment, your unused balance is refunded in full.
3 · Classes
Format — Live, instructor-led, delivered over Zoom. Sessions are 60 minutes.
Frequency — Typically twice a week, adjustable by agreement.
Scheduling — Classes are scheduled in your child’s timezone at a time agreed with the teacher. Slots are planned in advance and held for your child.
Pace — A module takes roughly 24 classes and about three months, but this varies deliberately by student. A module concludes when the student is ready to present it, not at a fixed class count.
Recordings — Every class is recorded. Recordings are available to your family on the student portal for one month and may be downloaded. See our Privacy Policy for how they are handled.
4 · Fees and payment
Fees are discussed on the discovery call and confirmed before any payment. Classes are purchased in blocks through the student portal; larger blocks carry a lower per-class rate.
- There is no subscription and no auto-renewal. You are never charged without initiating the payment yourself.
- Prices may change over time. A change does not affect classes already purchased.
- Applicable taxes are added at the rate in effect at the time of purchase.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not see or store your card or banking details.
- Where a payment fails, is reversed, or a chargeback is raised, we may pause scheduling until it is resolved.

5 · What we expect of a student
Simple, and rarely an issue:
- Attend scheduled classes, or let the teacher know in advance.
- Treat the teacher with courtesy. We ask the same of them, in the other direction.
- Do the small builds between classes — that’s where most of the learning consolidates.
- Do not record, screenshot or redistribute class sessions or teaching material.
We reserve the right to discontinue enrolment in cases of abusive conduct toward a teacher. This has not happened, and we would refund the unused balance in full if it did.
6 · What we expect of a parent
- Ensure the technical requirements are in place before classes begin: a computer with a working camera and microphone, and a reliable internet connection. A tablet or phone is not sufficient for most courses.
- Be reachable. Teachers send an after-class note and we hold a parent–teacher meeting every fortnight.
- Tell us early if something isn’t working. We would much rather re-match a teacher than lose a family.
7 · Who owns the work
The student owns everything they make. Their code, their projects, their ideas. We claim no ownership over student work and will never sell, license or commercialise it.
We may show a student’s project on our website or social channels only with the family’s separate written permission, published under a first name only. Permission can be withdrawn at any time — see our Privacy Policy.
Our teaching material remains ours. Lesson content, exercises and course structure are Sanketana’s, provided for the student’s personal learning and not for redistribution.
8 · Our part
We will teach your child properly, match them with a teacher we believe suits them, and tell you honestly if we think another school would serve them better.
We do not guarantee any particular outcome — an examination grade, a competition result, a university place. What we commit to is the quality of the teaching and the honesty of our assessment.
Where circumstances beyond our control interrupt teaching — power or internet failure, illness, natural events — we reschedule rather than deduct.
9 · Liability
Our liability in connection with these terms is limited to the fees you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10 · Website
Content on this site — text, design, photographs, and student work published with permission — may not be copied or reused without written permission.
We try to keep the site accurate and current. Course listings, ages and timelines are indicative rather than contractual.
11 · Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.
We would far rather resolve anything by conversation. Write to the founder first — that has always worked so far.
12 · Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and material changes will be communicated to enrolled families directly.
